Amadys strengthens market position through acquisition of Infraconcepts

Amadys, supplier of components for utility networks (including water, gas, electricity and telecommunication networks) is acquiring Infraconcepts Netherlands B.V., system supplier of passive fibre optic connectivity. The transaction is subject to approval by the competition authorities. The acquisition of Infraconcepts fits with the international growth ambition of the Amadys group and will strengthen its position in the Netherlands.

Amadys N.V. is the Benelux market leader in the distribution of passive equipment for telecom, water, gas and electricity. Clients of Amadys include network operators, distribution companies, water companies, gas and electricity companies, installation businesses, cities and municipalities.

Infraconcepts Netherlands B.V., headquartered in Breda, has been the leading system supplier of passive fibre optic connectivity for the telecom industry in the Netherlands for over twenty years. They are active in the Netherlands in the market segments telecom, energy, industry, civil engineering, rail, mobile and data centres. With a passion for creating connections, they are making an active and significant contribution to the switch to fibre optic and the transition to a digital broadband society.

The Amadys holding company has branches in Belgium, the Netherlands and Denmark. The group has a turnover of 180 million euros and employs 140 people.
