Amadys expanding to new regions by acquiring Hungarian company RayNet

23 February 2023

Amadys is proud to announce that an agreement has been reached for the acquisition of the Hungarian company RayNet. The transaction is subject to approval by competent authorities.

RayNet Kft. was founded in 1998 as a small family business with an initial focus on the distribution of copper closures. Today, its main activity is the production and sale of a wide range of telecommunications networking solutions in the fiber optic technology domain. RayNet’s headquarters and main warehousing site is located in Nagytarcsa, circa 20 km from the center of Budapest. Next to that, RayNet owns a production facility in Komárom (90 km from Budapest).

“We are delighted to introduce ourselves into a new region with Amadys”, says Hein Wilderjans, CEO of Amadys. “Our aim is to build further on the existing success of RayNet and look into the possibilities of reusing the unique solutions that they have developed into existing regions.”

“It is a exciting opportunity for RayNet to become part of Amadys”, adds Tibor Horváth, owner and CEO of RayNet. “Thanks to the resources and expertise of Amadys, RayNet will have the possibility to play an even bigger role in the further rollout of fiber networks in Hungary. Of course, the experience and knowledge of FTTH technology and own patented solutions that the employees of RayNet are offering, will add value and enforce Amadys. With this agreement, we are undoubtedly writing the beginning of a success story.”

Around 27 employees that are working today for RayNet will be welcomed into the Amadys family. With a view to establish further growth in this region, Amadys Central Eastern Europe (CEE) was founded. Tibor Horváth will  act more in international business development and Tamás Földvárszki will gradually start leading the organization of RayNet in Hungary.
