Amadys enters DACH market as system integrator for end-to-end connectivity solutions

10 May 2022

With Amadys, the DACH region now has a new experienced player for successful FttX broadband expansion: the end-to-end system integrator and market leader for the distribution of passive network components is using Europe’s leading congress trade fair for broadband, television and online, ANGA COM, for its first strong appearance in the core markets of Germany, Austria and Switzerland. At its 264-square-metre stand, Amadys will clearly demonstrate the path from the pre-assembled PoP distributor to the fiber-optic house connection at the end user’s premises with the help of its modular system. During a presentation, Amadys, the expert for successful fiber optic expansion will explain how easy it is to build reliable FttX systems. Amadys will be presenting itself and its subsidiaries at stand A50 from 10 to 12 May 2022.

Under the motto “Shaping tomorrow”, Amadys will show how successful fiber optic network expansion in the DACH region can be achieved. To this end, the end-to-end system integrator brings more than ten years of project experience from more than 1.5 million realised FttH home connections in the Netherlands and Belgium: “We combine in-depth FttX expertise with comprehensive product know-how and, as an experienced system integrator, accompany our customers from the project sketch to operation – because broadband expansion is first and foremost challenging project management,” says Arthur Graevendiek, Managing Director of Amadys Germany. “With our Microfocus complete system, we ensure that everything runs smoothly and easily. This means that we advise on component selection right from the start, provide the right solutions for this, offer training, planning advice and site support. In addition, we have international experience with projects, products and construction methods and score points with our many years of expertise in material logistics. And because this is easier and more systematic to handle with modules the Amadys FttH system solution ‘Microfocus’ is based on a modular building block principle with established suppliers and proven solutions.”

The Amadys stand concept: the perfect system for every network

The modular building block system is therefore also the focus of the Amadys trade fair presentation: starting with the heart of fiber optic cabling – the pre-assembled PoPs – the 264 square metre stand exemplifies the entire path to the households: with empty conduits for reliable underground protection, with feeder cables as well as sub-distributors and drops to the households on the last mile to the fiber optic house connection at the end user. The system integrator dedicates a separate area to each of the modular construction kits. There, visitors can experience the respective products. The solutions on display end in five buildings of different sizes – from single-family homes to large residential buildings. In a kind of shop at the front of the stand, Amadys will be showing matching accessories and tools for the installation of fiber optic networks, as well as splicing equipment, measuring and blowing technology from Amadys member companies Muth, SKG and tso GmbH.

“The modular construction system enables us to address the fast-growing German FttX growth market even better and thus gain further shares in the market,” says Arthur Graevendiek.

He will also discuss how this can be achieved in a lecture on 12 May 2022 at 2:45 p.m. on the topic “From PoP to APL – Simply Building Reliable FttX Systems” (Room 2).

Buy-and-build strategy for FttH success

Amadys provides passive network components for the telecom, electricity, water, gas and industrial sectors and has a strong local presence in six European countries. The company consistently acquires companies in the field of FttH expansion in order to be able to offer the complete range from a single source as a one-stop solution provider. In Germany, Muth, SKG, PRO Kunststoff and tso GmbH are members of Amadys.
